La la la la...

Whee!

Monday night I went over to pandoras_evil_t's. It's her birthday on Friday. But, niether Anita nor I could manage to do her birthday thing on her birthday. So we learned how to play this game of the_chief_80's, Dirty Minds. Through some very... naughty descriptions, you have to guess what it actually is, usually something very innocent.

Anyway, yesterday we went mini-golfing. Shock of all shocks... I thought for sure I was sucking majorly. I thought I was making even Andrea look good. Although I did manage to score a hole in one. Anita got two. But at the end of it all (us girls a bit burned, oops), I was tallying up the scores...

Andrea: 83
Anita: 78
Damian: 74
Hana: 72

...

I can't believe I bloody won. I mean, I was usually scoring around 5 shots per hole. And in the beginning I was terrible. But apparently not that bad. Eh, bien. It was fun. We all had fun, and then we went to get the booze.

Ange bought a case of Tattoo, some Archer's, some mudshakes, a sparkling white, and a chardonnay. I got a six pack of B52 shots, some gin and tonic with lemon, and some vodka feijoa and apple. And we had a lovely evening of more Dirty Minds, and Scum, and this other card game, Morning Queen. It's the perfect game to play when drunk. It's hard enough to do sober, but drunk? Whoa.

You deal out all the cards between the players, and the aim of the game is to get rid of all your cards. You don't look at the cards you're given. The first person flips their card over. If it's a number, next person flips a card. If it's a jack, everyone has to say, "Hi, Jack." The last person to say it has to pick up all the cards in the pile and add it to their deck. If the card is a queen, everyone says, "Morning, Queen." Again, last person gets the cards. Not a good thing. If it's a king, everyone salutes. This one's the bitch. You end up whacking your forehead so many times. And if it's an ace, everyone slaps their hand on the pile. You don't want to be slow with these things. Or screw up which you say. For whatever reason, I was really good at getting out.

We watched some TV, before Anita and then Damian buggered off. Andrea got so much more toasted then I did. I was feeling really good though. We watched the Secret Garden. And then we watched Fern Gully. I did not know Christian Slater did the voice of Pips in that movie. (The boy fairy chasing after Chrysta, for those who don't remember) There were some cartoons on the tape after Fern Gully, so we watched this weird little cartoon, Animaniacs, and Batman. Then we went to bed.

Oh, and cards... new variation to Scum: Joker trumps all. Doesn't matter if it's singles, pairs, triples, or a quad, one Joker overrules everything. And you can't play the other Joker on it either, and steal the trump.

I finally came home around noon-ish, to find Iain at his computer. He was just starting to watch the first episode of Stargate Atlantis. He's got both seasons on the comp. When he told me that, I told him I love him. I missed an episode or two though, 'cause I got bored and took a walk. Lovely thing, it had been muggy all day, and kind of overcast. It wasn't 'til I was out walking, exactly halfway through my established walk route, when it started bucketing down. Thing was, though I got soaked through, I felt soooooo good for it. It was a relief.

Dad tried talking to us earlier about something. Iain finally snapped and pointed out we were watching a tv show here, can it wait? It could. I can't even remember what he was trying to talk to us about.

Fin.
