Election!
So, this is my first presidential election....I know most of my f-list is Dem, from what I can see....But I'm not. Nothing against the man. There are good things about Obama, and good things about McCain. I do not vote on based on party alone, and I know some people think that way. I did a lot of research before I decided.
There were things I liked about Obama, really, there were. But, there were even more things from McCain that I agreed with. There are some serious issues that I needed to vote for McCain on....If you want to know, I will even tell you.
I don't care about your affiliation. Really. I will still like you even if you vote for someone who eats babies for breakfast. I may look at you funny, but I won't hate you, and I ask the same courtesy.
But, I voted. And I feel good about it and I am now watching as the polls close.
Funny story!
I was driving past my polling place, which is just outside of my parent's subdivision. I knew that there was a NO ON 2 sign out, but when I drove past, it was covered by a YES ON 2 sign. I parked and moved it. I agree, everyone should voice their opinions, but not at the expense of others. There was a lady there who came out of her car to see what I was doing. I told her and she was grateful. then she invited me to come to a monthly Dem meeting. She assumed because I voted no on 2, that I was Dem. LOL. I'm not!
I am happy that everyone that got out to vote did, even if they have opposing views. Good luck to everyone's candidate!
