Scotland: Day 15: Fallkirk Wheel
We spent this morning discussing our plans for the rest of our time here. Tomorrow through Thursday we'll be at Iona, which is an Island that has a lot of hisorical and religious significance. We'll be staying at a bed and breakfast for 2 nights while we're there. (*Note* I won't have internet access) At some point before we leave, we will take a boat trip on the Firth of Forth and see some PUFFINS, as well as going on the Royal Yacht Brittania, and going to Hadrian's wall. Next Tuesday we're going to stay at a bed and breakfast near Glasgow so that we can explore the city and then get to the airport on time the next morning.
After that, we went to the Fallkirk Wheel. It is a relatively recent invention that connects 2 different canals, one of which is 115 feet above the other. We got to go on a boat up and down the wheel.
