(no subject)
Did the shopping today - we didn’t deviate from the list at all! However that’s possibly because Clare deliberately didn’t tell me when we were going past the chocolate isle. While waiting in the queue the woman in front of us suddenly started up a conversation. I don’t deal with this sort of unexpected chatting very well so I let my sister do the responding. Anyway she started telling us how she used to have leukaemia and proceeded to show us her driver’s licenses. It was kind of… very awkward. I mean, great for her that she can talk about it, and even better that she’s OK, but what do you say? “Oh, damn, that would have sucked”? Although it’s probably just me, I never know what to say.
Lunch yesterday and Wednesday were both very nice; hadn’t seen various people for aaages.
Decided I’d wash the dog this morning since it was so warm. Then it started raining, and he kept shaking, so I was thoroughly drenched by the time I’d finished. FUN. :)
Yay! Clare has agreed to try reading Terry Pratchett:

Me: You can’t COMPARE Terry Pratchett books… just read it.
:D. At least it took me less time to convince her than it did to convince her to read Harry Potter (about a year).
