On the move

[Continued from here and here]

Finally something was starting to go right. Well, not right saying that I was still stuck inside what some considered to be my own body, but wasn't. No, whatever Illyria was simply looked like a shadow of me, and that was something I was hoping to fix once we arrived back at Wolfram and Hart. Illyria thought she'd ( Read more... )

Alright, so Cordy and I were supposed to go off and do what exactly? Hell if I knew, but for some reason I got the suspicion that I wasn't wanted around anymore while they decided to do their locator spell.

Cause hey, why would a champion be of any use to anyone in this situation?

I glanced between Cordy and Wes for a moment before finally nodding. "Alright, fine. We can go back down to the office and see if security has found out anything on where they went." That or why hadn't they found out anything. I swear, the people in this place are no help whatsoever.

Just as we started out of the lab, I felt an odd buzzing in my pocket. When I started to get a few looks I picked it up and answered. "Hello?" I said harshly.

"Uh, yes. M-Mr. Angel? We have a location on the.. the individuals you were requesting earlier ( ... )

I was quite relieved that Cordelia had taken the hint and was already on a mission to get Angel out of the way. The last thing we needed was a brooding vampire to disrupt the spell. I shared a look, and almost a smile with Cordelia at Angel's words. Just like old times, which would never return.

Just as I was about to turn to Willow and Lorne, to get things started, there was an odd buzzing sound. Which once again made me wonder about the so called 'silent alarm'. That wasn't really silent. Most of us looked at Angel until he picked up the damn phone. At this point, any call could be important.

And as it turned out, this one was.

Grabbing my gun out of my holster, I strode toward Angel, a feeling of dread in my stomach. If 'they' was both that blue thing and Knox? Then the latter was mine. "I'll take care of Knox," I said grimly, the tone of my voice not leaving any room for argument.

Because there wasn't going to be one. They could jump high and low, Knox was mine.

The second I saw Wesley pull out that gun from his holster, I knew he meant business. A knot began to clench within my stomache, because deep inside I knew what might end up happening.

See, no one really knew whether or not Fred was still in there. I didn't even want to think about the possibility that she wasn't, because help me God, that girl was one of my best friends, and I wasn't about to come to terms with the fact that I would never see her again.

But the guns.. Wesley could use them on Knox all he wanted. For all I cared, that little weasel got what he had coming to him. But if it came to having to take 'Fred' down, I didn't want to be there to watch. I had already had to witness her slowly being taken over by that thing.. I didn't want to see anything else .. well, except for her complete and total recovery ( ... )

As I moved along with the group, I knew I was going to need a weapon. Angel's office had a few weapons. Wesley had his gun and Angel had his fist of fury. Well Willow had her magic, so really that left me and Lorne without anything to use. Unless you consider me trying to tap into my half demon powers but I dont even know if I could do that.

"What exactly are we going to do once we get there? Distract the old one while someone does whatever to get them separated? Sounds good if you have the same powers as she does."

I was nervous. We didnt have a plan. if we had done the spell and found them through the spell, That would give us time for a plan.

"Please tell me someone has a better plan then what I just said."
