I looked at Cordy and sighed, rubbing at the back of my neck. "Well, to be honest, we don't know for sure it's him," I told her, my brows furrowed, the anger in my expression still present. "But all fingers are pointing in his direction."

I looked at Angel and gave him a look of consternation, then heaved a gigantic demon-sized sigh. By this point the adrenaline that had built with the revelation of Knox being involved was slowly starting to drain and the day's weariness began to settle back in for the long-haul. Angel on the other hand, still looked ready to massacre an army of gangly baby-faced lab techs. Somehow, I could sense the day wasn't going to end without any violence. Although if Knox WAS involved, I think i'd just have to roll up my sleeves and get in a piece of that action. And I know as much as the next person how much I really really hate violence, but this was about Fred. That girl never did anything to anyone except float on in on a ray of sunshine.

And that girl was truly one of my best friends. And now she was gone.

I looked back at Cordy. "Might not be a bad idea to pool our ideas with Wesley before we take further action," I told her. "He might be able to shed more light on this. Although I have no idea where he is."

I nodded at Lorne. "Right, no matter how much I'd like to see the little guy die just because he might've had something to do with it all? We don't know for sure."

We just needed to find more answers. Finding answers meant finding Illyria and Knox who had apparently disappeared. They could be anywhere by now and that wasn't good for getting Fred back. Clentching my fists at my sides again, I tried to relax even the smallest bit. Apparently, it didn't work at all.

"Might not be a bad idea to pool our ideas with Wesley before we take further action. He might be able to shed more light on this. Although I have no idea where he is."

I nodded again. Finding Wesley would be a good thing since he was the one who might know where they would've wanted to go. "He and Willow left the room after Illyria and Knox disappeared. I..I'm not sure where they went."

I watched Angel. He was doing the fist clenching thing again. If he didnt stop soon, A wall would be his first victim. Walking over to him, I took one of his hands. "Even though you dont to do this, You have to breathe and not let the anger take over. I'm sure you dont want to have to pay for damaging a wall or hurt employees."

A small smile came across my face before realizing something. "Don't you have cameras all over the place?" Not waiting for a response. "Why dont you just check there that way we aren't walking all over the place looking for him. I mean they still would be in the building right?"

I looked at Cordy and rubbed my chin. "Might not be a bad idea, although I'm sure bloodhound here could probably just sniff 'em out." I gave Angel a wry smirk.

"Did anyone try Fred's science lab?" I suggested. "Maybe they headed off there. I know they wouldn't be in Wesley's office because well, we just came from there and I don't think they could have gotten there without us seeing them."

Feeling a hand take mine, I looked at Cordy. Sighing, I nodded. "I know." I resisted making a remark about not caring if I hurt someone around here because that might actually take some tension off the moment, but I knew she was right. Throwing things around the room or punching people at random wasn't going to get me anywhere, and it wouldn't help Fred at all.

Cameras? I guess we had those. There were probably some in places that I didn't want them to be, but maybe they'd come in handy now. As I walked over to my desk, I dialed Harmony and asked her to transfer me to the.. well, whoever was sitting in that little room with the cameras. While I waited, I gave Lorne a bit of a look at his comment.

Could they be in the lab? Maybe she had to be near the sarcophagus or she went there with Knox for some other reason. Finally, I heard someone pick up the phone.

I explained what I was looking for and asked them to check the lab's security cameras to see if they were there or had been there. The voice on the other end grunted a few times, but went to check. I heard some voices in the background and frowned when he got back on, stuttering a little.

Once he finished stumbling through his explaination, I hung up the phone and looked at Cordy and Lorne. "Well, they were in the lab, but aren't any more. Knox was there with her and as far as they know left with her. She did something with the sarcophagus.. found some clothes or.. something. The idiot wasn't sure what happened. He scanned the rest of the cameras, but didn't find them. Oh, and when they left the lab he said that there was a sudden blur and then they were gone. She must have happened there as it did when she disappeared in front of us."

This wasnt getting us anywhere. And I was getting frustrated. "Ugh. This is pissing me off. Wolfram Hart is suppose to be all mighty powerful but wheres the power to block off this thing from leaving?" Maybe I was the one who needed to hit something or bitch someone out.

A sigh escaped from my lips before moving over to the couch. Taking a seat, I rested my elbow on the arm of the chair and then my head on my hand. "What about a tracking spell? I mean once we find Wesley and Willow, We can have them do a spell to find them." I was running out of ideas when ideas were needed the most. "We could get something of Fred's, because we all know she is still in there, that way it would be easier to do it." Looking at Lorne then at Angel, I felt like biting my nails. That only happened when I was nervous or scared. At this point, I was afraid Fred wasnt going to be with us anymore.

I lowered my head and closed my eyes, not saying anything at first in response to Cordelia.

"...because we all know she is still in there.."

Do we? Do we honestly know a damn thing about what had just happened? I felt as though we were floundering around in the dark without a leg to stand on. Sure Cordy and I looked up a few things in a couple books that gave us some clue as to what was going on, but when it really came down to it, there was way too much we didn't know. Like was that thing actually Fred? Or was it something controlling her? Did it kill her, or is she still in there somewhere? Not to be a Negative Nancy or anything, but was Fred even still alive?

I set my jaw in thought and furrowed my brows. Finally I looked at up Angel with a hopeless expression on my face. I looked over at Cordy, and then back at Angel.

"S-say we do find Wesley and Willow," I said quietly. "And they manage to find Fred and Knox. Then what? What do we do then? Do we even know whether or not that that thing is dangerous? A-and, i'm sort of thinking--you know, judging by the not-so-friendly way it infected Freddikins, that more than likely it's probably not going to want to sit down and talk about this over a cup of tea, don't you think?"

"What about a tracking spell? I mean once we find Wesley and Willow, We can have them do a spell to find them. We could get something of Fred's, because we all know she is still in there, that way it would be easier to do it."

"Damn right she's still in there," I said a little too fast. Was I trying to convince myself of that? Sighing, I shook my head and looked at the two of them. "That might work. We could head on up to the lab anyway and find something of her's."

When Lorne spoke, I turned my head a bit sharply to him. "Then we find some way, some spell to get her back, that's what." Sighing once again, I rubbed my forehead with a hand. "No, I doubt she'll appreciate us wanting her gone. There's got to be some way to have her powers permanently or at least temporarily weakened so we can keep her in one place."

The phone rang and I jumped a little. Frowning, I went over and picked up the phone. "What?" The voice on the other end hesitated, but went on to say that two people were in the lab now. Before he could tell me who they were, I hung up the phone.

"That was security. There are two people in the lab looking around right now. Let's pay them a visit, shall we?"
