I agree with you almost 100% with your argument of the school system. Just look around you. Do you see the majority of the students trying to learn? No, they are trying to memorize. Maybe it's just me, but I seem to notice that the only time I'm in the library to study, is for a subject that I dislike, but forced to take. I can sit down and get my english, or my sociology work done. Intro to bullshit core class however, I can't look at one of those 75 pound text books for more than 10 minutes before I start doing something else to avoid the reading.

I've given up on trying my best in all my subjects a long time ago. If I like the class, chances are, I'll get an A, because I either am drawn to do the work because I like it and find it interesting, or that I'm just good at it. Those god damn lab sciences and shit, those are for the birds. I don't care about those classes and neither do profs. If they did, you think they'd teach a 400 person lecture hall, and assign 1 assinine chapter after another? I definetly don't think so.

I'm probably going to go to graduate school, and do you know how frustrating it is to know that I won't get into a really good one because I fucked up on business classes that my parents begged me to take? Ugh, I'm cutting myself off here way, sorry for the long rant, this is more of an entry then a comment.

Hey, don't worry about it. Now I know that I'm not the only one to feel this way. You have added more detail to the situation where I only mentioned studying topics I dislike.
