Uhhhhhhhhhhggghhh

I have never eaten so much mashed food in my life. Seriously. At Thanksgiving I had to sit at The Kids's Table, since every year we get older, but the size of the family stays the same. I really felt like a little kid, too, since all there was for me to eat was mashed foods: mashed potatoes, mashed turnips, mashed squash, and mashed sweet potatoes [yams]. Ick.

Today was about the same, except my Aunt made fried broccoli and cauliflower.

So for these past two days, my sister and I actually got along. I was a bit surprised. Last night we were both so bored, that we tracked down a K-Mart that was still open and went in search of DVDs [since my parents don't own any]. I got Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels [Yeah Guy Ritchey]. She got The Recruit. Both were watched by me before I went to "The Guest Room" to sleep. For anyone who didn't know, I no longer have a room at my parents' house. In this room, I read about 50 pages of Catch 22.

Today was a little more interesting. For starters, I think I got fired from my job at The Loft. Around 2, I got a phone call from Alice, my boss's assistant. She said, "Hey, Ryan. I got a call from Mike asking me to tell you not to come in this weekend. Uhhh, I'm not sure why, but that's what he said. I hope you get this in time." Hooray! Refer to my post from last weekend to get details on the situation, but basically, this could mean that I am never wanted back. Since I get paid off the books, and never signed a real contract, he can just disregard me like this.

Anyway, I bought a ticket to get in tonight and went to see Apathy Season play downstairs from The Loft in Club Crannell Street. I saw Mike, but didn't even ask him about it. I have already thought of so many alternatives to working there that I didn't really care. [More on that in a later post.]

Apathy Season played really well. I did notice, however, that Jason changed the lyrics to "Windows Down." Yeah, it makes it easier for him to sing, but I think I liked the old way better.

That's enough for tonight. Rob is passed out on my couch. Dave took a picture of him. I think I'll post it later.
