Another Fancy Foosball Update

My team had a backward week 3, by comparison to weeks 1 and 2. Brees only netted 4 points, Brandan Jacobs finally got a touchdown, Giants D/ST played a shutout, and T.O. didn't make a single catch. Well, I guess that T.O. part still reeks of consistency, rather than backwardity.

Still, I did manage to win 84-59 mostly thanks to my RB core going big this week. Let's see if we can do it again as I face the 5th-place team in my division --who currently has no TE or K due to bye-week. If I lose this one, I will declare such a monstrous "This is bullshit" that the very foundation of Cowboys stadium may overturn itself.

I'm finally starting to get the hang of going defensive and trying to focus on my weekly match-up's weaknesses. In this case, I am trying to snatch up SF's TE Vernon Davis before my opponent can get him. Davis is coming off a big week, and hopefully will show only minimal slowdown against the 0-3 Rams. This will, in all likelihood, leave my opponent with NE's Ben Watson, who is still potentially formidable, but I can't in my right mind have a bench full of TEs just as a defensive tactic.

This leads to my question of the week: Assuming I acquire him, should I play Vernon Davis (SF) instead of Dustin Keller (NYJ)?

I'm torn on the issue. Keller's got a good chance to snag a quick, short pass for a TD against New Orleans this week. Davis is against the Rams. Whatever shall I do?
