i'll pay for it all with my millions
i loved this weekend! last night was spectacular, as tati accompanied me to the receiving end of sirens show at the loft. i mainly just went for them and augustana, but augustana kind of sucked. treos blew me away as usual and they played "planning a prison break" which was pretty much the best time of the night, besides the end of their set when this 12 year old kid jumped up on stage and joyfully danced. oh, and just looking at alex bars was glorious too.
i kind of felt like an idiot in the beginning of the night when i bought a treos shirt from the drummer, not recognizing him, and sean dillon said to him "this band comes highly recommended from this girl" and i was just like "heehee yep!", what an idiot i am. then the lead singer of acceptance stood rudely in front of tati, but she grunted at him and he stepped aside. that's right, bitch. acceptance and cartel were good too.
OH, before i shut up about that, there was this 45-ish year old creep that totally came over and stood right in front of me, and then started rubbing up against tati. when treos was sound-checking, he was rocking out. totally weird.
but i digress, pictures can tell the story of our venture to toucan's on saturday night. besides the part when this dude, randy, kept following us around and then started talking astrology with us. he told me that "geminis are way cautious about talking to someone unless they know them or know them through someone"...true, i guess?? we danced to kelly clarkson's "since u been gone" twice throughout the night as random black men laughed & pointed at us. inebriation ensued. photos courtesy of nick and jess!
