let's get it started
Isn't that (subject line) a Black Eyed Peas song? Cecilia isn't hip enough to know, you see. But Dashboard Confessional certainly is hip. Oh crap, I'm missing them right now on Pepsi Smash. Whoopsay. I'll go watch after I get this entry done. It's funny because I'm listening to their CD ("A Mark, A Mission, A Brand, A Scar") right now. As I have been for the last ... well, ever since I got it. Haha. Seriously, I love it so much. I can play it over and over and over and over and over. Their lyrics really cut deep into the soul. Alot of them can also be used to express what I've been feeling about the Angels lately. "Oh lord now, there you go with hope again / But I'll be sure your secret's safe with me / Oh you're so sure I'll be leaving in the end / Treating me like I'm already gone / But I'm not, I will stay where you are always" Oy. Yes, Halo men. I will stay with you no matter what. Even if the A's sweep you! Not like that'll ever happen. Oh, wait it just did. Which brings me to my next point.
I'm as frustrated as anyone who isn't completely immune to emotion. Two things, really: timely hitting and the bullpen. Starting pitching has been pretty solid (not counting Washy's start today). But the starters make one mistake, and the Angels just cannot recover. Again, they had plenty of chances to score but didn't. Bases loaded and Quinlan strikes out. D'oh. But, I mean, just because the guy has one bad day doesn't mean we should immediately send him back down, as many of the Fan Forum members are suggesting. The Fan Forum members. Good God. Some of them are just morons. I'm not one to say, "Oh, so we got swept by the A's. Big deal." because, well, it still pisses me off that we could've won at least two of these games. Or maybe we even could've won all three. But to say things like, "TRADE MIKE SCIOSCIA", "THIS TEAM IS MADE UP OF LITTLE LEAGUERS", and even "THE ANGELS' SEASON IS OVER." is just wild. Everyone has times where they have to bitch and moan about their team losing (I would know), but when all you do is bitch and moan (except when they're winning), who good does that do? It's hard to keep a positive outlook, but why throw in the towel ... in July? o_o This isn't a race; it's a marathon. THERE IS STILL HOPE FOR US.
Oooh, so I'm going to the game tomorrow. I get to meet Olivia and Amy! YEAH, ROCK ON. Oh yes, and I also get to yell at the A's and let Damian Miller know how sexy I find him. ;)
