But anyway, when I saw "I hate him. I hate all humans." as an option, I immediately recognized it from Mononoke Hime/Princess Mononoke and cheated XD. It was on YTV on Saturday and...
It was completely unedited!! O.O
Shocked? I sure as hell was. I just realized how much I really loved that movie! Took me long enough, I know. When I was younger I used to say: "I hate this movie, but I can't help but watch it." Makes sense?
I didn't think so either.
But I was young and stupid, then (and I'm still one of those now, guess which). But I Love that movie, I've seen it 5 times. The visuals are amazing, the plot was very unique, and the characters were intriguing and diverse. As expected of Miyazaki. The only thing that I had a teensy weensy problem with was the ending, it just seemed kinda sorta rushed. Just a weeeeeeeeeeeee bit.
It was, for the most part, very nicely dubbed! Dun Dun Dun! XD The only voice I had any problem with was Gonza by John Dimaggio who's voiced 50 billion cartoon voices such as: Bender, Dr. Drakken, stuff for Superman, Batman, the Justice League, the list goes on...but he sounded so black in this movie, and yes that's a problem, because it didn't suit the character. It was like watching an a Herbal Essences commercial dubbed in Japanese -- the words and tone of voice didn't fit what was on screen at all (the commercial was soooooo funny though, thanks sensei XD)!
I knew it was freaking Scully that voiced Moro. She was very good at it, too (maybe it was all the years of monotone on the X-Files that threw me off X3). O.O And Keith David was in it, too. Keith David = <3 God I LOVE him. His voice is of the AWESOMNESS!! He's voiced Spawn in the Cartoon series which totally PWNED the movie (not just because the movie sucked, it was a really great show), he was in Barbershop 2, played Duo in the Animatrix, and even had a role in Halo 2 as 'The Arbitor' and 50 billion other voices. His voice is like no other. He's totally up there on my fave V.A.'s.
Kudos for my uncanny voice detector and critiquing thingy. XD
But yeah, awesome movie, lol!
I <3 the kodama!! They look positively wasted (moreso) when they're smiling, I love it!! XD
