snow day
woke up at 6am (stab me)
put on 3 pairs of socks and had 3 cups of coffee with 3 sugars and 3 creams. weird, no?
"shoveled" out the car with brooms!! took us forever.
volunteered to essentially watch high school kids at a chicago public school
was kinda really fun.
Kid 1: Ay. Ms. P, this yr lady?
Alma: yes, raul, this be my lady.
Kid 2: Ay lis, so.. like.. yr her girl, huh? that's cool. she's awesome. you drew that cat, right? it's cool. i like cats.
Me: Yeah, i know..and thanks.. (awkward smile)
lez girl: Ms. P! How you gonna do me like that?! you know i been stressin you since you walked up in here w yr fine self.. ugh... yr hurting me. i can't even look at her!
sooooo that was fun. they were supposed to have a field trip but the snow was too much, it was postponed so i'll be seeing them again soon.
we had lunch at nuevo leon. if you've never been, go.. it's right on the corner of where i live so you can visit me and my cats in the process.
went to target to develop pics of saul and buy a shovel.
on our way back.. we see a mom and two daughters trying to "shovel" their car out of this giant heap of snow.. of course they were doing it with brooms and even a creative dust pan!
stopped and with our new shovel got them out in 10 min. i felt good about life suddenly and i also got a good little cardio workout. i should do that more often.
