I lied. Apparently i didnt get accepted into the grad program.
They have an online application status thing and it made it sound like i was accepted. I mean it said that my admit term was for the fall 2006, where as before it said my application was ready and awaiting review before. but yesterday i got a letter in the mail saying they are not accepting me into their program.
so now i need to see if i can get into their masters of public policy program, or else i dunno. i guess no school again for a year for me. at least until the next semester (public policy accepts fall and spring semesters, conflict analsyis is only once a year). the letter said that they had an extremely high level of people who applied this year so they had to turn away a whole bunch of highly qualified people since its an extremely small program (average 150 applicants and only can accept 60), but I think theyre just blowing sunshine up my ass. I really dunno why i would get turned away. I mean i had a 3.62 overall gpa and the last 60 credit hours i had like a 3.75 or something.
oh well fuck it. time to get drunk. im glad george mason lost in the basketball final four now. fuckinassmasters.
**my girlfriend is the bestest in the world though. i just sat there in total disbelief and was pretty crushed. and she actually managed to cheer me up and console me, which i thought was going to be impossible at the time. i mean she bought me dinner and a mai thai punch, and did something to make me laugh/smile. so iloveyoustupit<3**
