Today has been a good day, I have been happy and contented - it's amazing how I experience such extremes.
Anyway, it was gorgeous and I had a sudden desire to take a walk with my camera. I only walked around the block, and was never more than a minute away from my house. I love it when I have moments of clarity - and see everything as if for the first time again.
- Private roads are never paved. When I was little I used to hate this road because I always twisted my ankle.
- Nobody ever uses this door, there is a big gardne behind it and this door just opens out onto the lane from it. I have never seen the garden, you can only see if from the house. Unless of course you scale the wall :D
- Now where else in the world do you get a postbox like that, with the Queen's initials on it?
- This isn't exactly square on, but I pretty much had to wander into someone's frive and I was more intent on running off again. It's amazing what cheek you develop with a camera on your person.
- I used to hate where I live, so boring. But I think that I will miss the colour of it when I leave.
- That crazy tree again.
- I thought the little door was cute, the fact that there was a Union Jack in it (and my purpose of these photos was to capture England in Spring) just made me laugh!
- One of my top three photos of today.
- Wild Dandelion growing out of a wall, as you do. Complete with groovy postbox in the background.
- Couldn't decide which one I liked better.
- I think we take trees for granted, personally. Hehe.
- Another of my top three.
- And the final of my top three. I particularly love where my Dad works at this time of the year, entire streets lined with blossom tress. Some of the blossom falls to the floor and it looks like nature has thrown pink confetti everywhere - celebrating the coming of Summer.
