At least my mom cares...
So last night my mom and i were looking through old pictures, and I grabbed this stack of pictures and she saw what they were and ripped them out of my hand. she said "Michelle I cant let you look at these, its not my place".
At first I thought they were pictures of her doing drugs, or pictures of something of that nature until she said "I think you need to ask your dad about this".
So after at least 15 mins of probing her about the pictures I finally got it out of her...they were of my dad and his first child Yeah. So I grew up and for almost 20 years I was under the impression that I was my father's first daughter. But in the early 80s he had a child with his girlfriend. The reason id never heard about this girl (my sister?) is because he abandoned her and her mother when she was 5. He just fucking packed up and ran away never to be heard from again.
When my parents were getting divorced, my dad was then sued by the state of california for abandonment and was forced to pay child support because his daughter and his ex girlfriend were living on welfare.
I dont even know how to comprehend this situation. My father is a fraud. He packed up and ran away from me too, only he couldnt abandon me because I was too old and had been around him for too long, so now hes 'stuck' with me.
I want to throw up.
Edit: last night in addition to about 20 pictures of the 2 of them together, she gave me her birth certificate, as well as a hand written letter that my dad wrote to the state telling that he is not claiming her as a dependent on his insurance plan...wow
