the moral of this weekend's story is that i am not allowed to go see midnight zombie movies, no matter how cheesy and trashy and funny, on nights i have to go to sleep by myself. at three in the morning, piles of grass clippings, garbage cans and even the paperboy everything looks like a creature of the undead. and then when strange crashes start coming from the next door neighbor's backyard, it is wisest to do as i do and sleep with a hammer under the pillow.
