So I ended up getting a ride to the Bottom of the Hill show last night with
distantships, which made me realllly happy. The boys TORE SHIT UP last night. They opened up with "Leaning the moon" and then got into the FWF material before they got to Up In Them Guts, including "Pigs" and "Say not a word" (which made me really happy.) I was soooo fanboy last night, it was ridiculous.
Mid way through came the now traditional Anti-Bush Rant. And they boys closed up with an exciting "We Ride to Fight", explaining the song a bit before about how it was a song about Faith, not in a faceless god, not in a better government, but that things will always have hope, and to keep fighting for it. And then they proceded to rip the place apart. The highlight was when Gared grabbed me and a bunch of kids up front and sang the the last half of the song with us.
As for the rest of the show, I really enjoyed the opener Read Yellow. I didn't at all like Daughters (the lead singer drooled on me. gross.) And Dillinger was crazy, of course.
Overall, a good night. My body hurts. Alot
