the minus the bear show was kinda boring, and all the songs blended into each other. or maybe i just wanted to sit down.
you can't get a crowd to dance if you don't play dance music. the end, period.
also, a slim hipster to indie kid ratio. i saw a lot of shoe-gazers.

it was sweet to hang out with vi and b and nicole all night though... and (badly) try to avoid people.
DEFTONES DEFTONES DEFTONES you don't even know. if you haven't seen G.O. or MSI or Deftones live, don't even talk about a band having energy. i will probably be shaking with excitement all evening. CHINO MORENO, THE LAST TIME YOU PLAYED AT RIALTO AND I HELD YOUR HAND WHILE YOU SANG, AND I WAS ALMST CRUSHED TO DEATH, CHANGED MY LIFE. I LOVE YOU.
before the austin city limits with Sufjan Stevens, i watched a show explaining black holes, and not only do i feel smarter, i feel incredibly scared. i'll be long dead by the time our galaxy collides with *edit* andromeda (we are in the milkyway... duh) (about ten million years from now) but still, when you play BUM BUM DA DA DA DAAAA doomy type music it scares the shit out of me... i like that physicists have a hard time wrapping their heads around the concept of a black hole.
Deftones and Wolf Eyes next week. it was tough deciding between +/- or Wolf Eyes (on the same wednesday... rude!) so we went with the cheaper show.
