Why is Elphaba the wicked witch of the west, Glinda the good witch of the north, and Nessa the wicked witch of the east?

I'm sure it's just me being a pleb, but y'know, it's annoying me *rolleyes*

I’m not sure if this has anything to do with it...but doesn’t Gulinda come from the uplands which is in the north region of oz...elphie and JNesa lived in munchkin land which is in the east...and Nesa stays there when her father died to be the governor making her the witch of the east and then elphaba decided to goes west to hide out and she come from the west : s ...im not 100% sure as i dont have the map in front of me...but ohh welll…. it also just accourd to me that u mite just be wondering why he put those places in the north, west and south...if you did then silly me but I typed to much to delet it lol
