was more or less ordered to go home at noon by motherly employee. on the way, this beastie was crawling with great determination across the cycle path by the waterfront hall. i almost ran it over, returned to investigate and decided it might have a better chance on the nearest tree. at tree, having put cycling gloves back on, i discovered that little stumpy hook-covered caterpillar rear feet cling to glove material very firmly. very firmly indeed. this resulted in a good five minutes of standing with hand against tree, trying to look nonchalant while telling the caterpillar to hurry the fuck up and climb. off. my. hand. please.
