I just got back from buying foundation from the clinique in macys.
That lady was totally rude or there was something about her that got on my nerves.or both.
First thing i say is that I need to buy new foundation because I'm running low, but I can't remember the shade.
No problem I assume, thats their job...matching colors and what not. whats the big deal???
Number one of her many corrections....I point to the bottle that my old foundation resembled. "Thats not foundation, that's tint (spelled teint)"
My bad, does it even matter? You give it to me and I pay you..
So then she gives me some weird quasi lecture about how when she finds my number then I have to remember it forever." Thats the most important thing a girl should remember," Her foundation shade/number ?whatever the hell it is.. I''m sorry lady but I got a lot more important things to remember. I don't know what your doing with your time. Oh and Clinique doesn't use shades...they use numbers. She just needed to correct me on that. So afraid that I'll forget that she even pointed to me where the number is located on the bottle. Foundation shades, numbers on bottles, having food on the table before the hubby gets home....puke...those are things girls need to worry about. So we go through the process she blots different colors of goop on my face. They all look the same to me. Some are way white and I'm thinking this girl is blind. Maybe it was her first day. She then she tells me my number is 12. Yay I can go home now. She's all out of 12. Okay next resort ( I knew that was a bad sign). She tries 10 and 14. wrong wrong they just look so bad. She should have just let me do it myself. And I'm no expert on makeup, but I thought your foundation was supposed to be similar to the color of your arms. I had long sleeves on. She never saw them. So now I am sitting here holding my brand new uber fancy face teint number 14 and comparing it to my other one which is a 30. 14....30....14...30? They aren't even close. I thought the one she said looked kinda pale, but I figured it was my lack of knowledge and experience and the lighting ( store lighting is the worse). Can I even return makeup? I hope she's not there tomorrow.
