Someone give me a machine gun right now so I can either shoot myself in the head and die, or kill the IRRITATING renovation people who are renovating my neighbour's (yes, my semi-detached neighbour if that makes any sense) house. They've been doing renovation work for the past few WEEKS 8-5 every weekday and it just Gets On My Nerves. Argh!!!!!! And if things can't get any worse, my mom has chosen today, of all days, to vacuum the house. Grr.
Actually I think I'm only so bothered because As starts tomorrow. I've been okay with the noise the past few days/weeks.
It was Halloween yesterday! My neighbourhood has quite a few Caucasian families so yesterday there was a small group of kids (about 20) who dressed up and went to the houses trick-or-treating. My dad got a shock when he drove home from work yesterday. Not because he was scared by them but more alarmed by the prospect of 20 ghost/witch-wannabes blocking the entire street in a feeble attempt to scare him. Think young kids below 10 going 'Ggrrnngh...!' and a few kiasu moms (normally-dressed, of course) tagging along.
But! Halloween also means something else! My daddy's birthday happens to fall on Halloween haha. We bought a cake and had a small, cosy affair of singing a birthday song and eating cake for dessert after dinner. Happens that on Saturday it was my sister's birthday, too, so we had a joint celebration that night. We went to the Esplanade and ate at the seafood restaurant there (seafood craving, all of us) then went to Haagen Daaz for ice cream dessert :)
My family is such a food-obsessed family haha. My family outings are almost always a trip to different restaurants/eating places all over Singapore.
Okay. I'd better get back to work now. GP tomorrow! I can't believe A levels are finally here. That means that it'll be over in no time and we can party :D
Ggrrnngh.
[edit] my mom just volunteered to send me off to the library or sth but I realised that the noise isn't that bad anymore... :) [/edit]
