Can somebody explain why Tylenol PM is vanilla-flavored? It's not chewable, like Tums. Why?

*lol* I think I still have samples of that from Disney's Gay Days. Want them?

Ah-hah! They were promoting it during Gay Days... that explains everything. ;) Sure, if you don't use it, but if you do I just got a bottle so don't desperately need it or anything. :)

Okay, drop me an email and let me know your address. I'm not sure the ones I got samples of are vanilla flavored though!

I don't care about the flavor, as I don't chew them. (makes grossed-out face at the idea)

Just a wild guess? azul_ros November 18 2005, 04:03:46 UTC
Maybe it's so your kids won't spit it back out when you tell them to swallow it??

I dunno. I haven't had one in a long time.

It's not chewable, nor is it the children's version. Hrm...

I do not know, nor do I care, because I loves me some TPM.

(scribbles down notes) Nope, not much to add from that.

did you know that the sleep aid in tpm is just benadryl? that is what one of the nurses in the hospital told me. and they would give me benadryl if i couldn't fall asleep.

That would explain why it didn't make me especially sleepy, but I woke up breathing better than usual.

you can gain a tolerance for banadryl/tpm if you use it frequently and it will loose it's sleepyness side effect. it's effectiveness should come back if you stop taking it for a while.

I don't take benadryl often, since I take claritin, and don't normally get sleepy from it except in high doses. Argh, even with taking stuff, breathing is a big effort and sometimes tires me out.
