It's begining to look alot like . . winter :S

It snowed last night, and not just a measly few flakes, quite a bit considering this is the first time we have seen any of this white rubbish so far this winter. Last night I was smart though. I decided not to go out, but to stay inside where it's warm and dry and watch a movie with Rene and Tara.

This morning I knew it was going to be a different situation. I looked outside this morning at 6:15 am and realized that the snow was still there. Also more than what I last recall seeing on the ground when I went to bed last night. I should have called work and told them right then and there I wasn't coming in today. But not me, I decided what the heck, it's just a little snow.

After my shower and my usual morning routine, I decided to go outside 30 mins before usual, just to give me enough time to get to work, since I figured it'd take me longer.

Once I got downstairs and outside, I then realized there was almost more snow than I thought. As I was approaching to my car it looked like a big white mound with two glowing red lights from under it. I had only walked a short distance to my car, but already I could feel the wetness of the snow on my ankles and legs. I began to dig my car out. One side to the other, then back to the first side until most of the snow was gone. I figured the rest would fall off as I drove. As long as I could see out of the windows, I was happy. Cleaning the car off kinda felt pointless. I would get a side snow free, then move over to the other side to do the same. When I went back to the first side, it was covered in snow! Damn sky was spitting more of the white crap on us. I figured I got as much off as possible, and decided to climb into my car and leave.

I never did leave. I went back and forth a bit, only moving about a foot. So I figured I might need to move some snow from my tires, which I didn't. That helped, about as much as a fork when you are eating runny soup. I tried for a bit longer, then figured it was hopeless.

Once inside I realized my feet and pants were wet . . almost up to my knees even. I really get into it when I'm cleaning off my car, no fooling around for me! I called work, the lady was very understanding. She said she was even late for work. She also mentioned that the roads on Pembina were horrible. And if Pembina is horrible I can just imagine how the other roads are.

So here I am, stuck at home where it's nice and warm. Not able to sleep. I decided to make the best out of the snow, and run to Safeway and pick up some batteries so that I could watch some TV. I reach Safeway and notice the lights look like they are still turned off. I figured maybe I was early and it wasn't open yet. Being 7:30 am and all, I figured it must open at 8 am. Just like the grocery store I used to work at. I saw lights on at the Safeway Gas Bar, so I went to see if they had any. I was in luck they did! They only had an 8 pack of triple A's . . I only needed two. I didn't care, besides you never know when you need some triple A batteries. The guy at the Gas Bar also mentioned that Safeway was supposed to be open. He said people are scared of the snow, but I really doubt that was the case.

I pop the new batteries into my new remote. Darko spilled a drink on the other one, so it's shot. I turn on everything . . I can't even get a signal. Damn satellite!! Damn snow!! Guess there is no tv. Oooh and on another note, the remote didn't even seem to work! Damn remote!

Nothing seems to be going like it should today. . . I should have stayed in bed.
