NYC Marathon and Life in Scottsdale

Sep 06, 2005 22:10

Two months to go until the New York City Marathon; actually in two months I hope to be having a Victory Beverage or in bed thinking to myself “I told myself after the last marathon I wouldn’t do this again.”

So life in Phoenix / Scottsdale has been great for people watching. One can always go to the Starbucks in the Kierland Shopping area and get a coffee and not be let down by lack of people / entertainment. The best part though is on Sunday mornings when I head in there with my NY Times and sit there and just watch all the different styles and substances that come in and discuss their accomplishments of their weekend. Great comments like, “oh stop it bob, we only spent a thousand on dinner last night.”

Anywho, other than that, it is all good. However I am going to go on and watch the History Channels “when in Rome” week special and how child touching was okay back in those days along with forcing another man’s wife to have an adulteress affair is okay. Caligula was an interesting guy… the roman’s didn’t seem to approve though and I am about to find out what they did to him.
