Hurricane Irene,
Long Island is to be in the eye of the storm. We're to evacuate by 8 am tomorrow.
I'm particularly "happy" since my house is 100 meters from the bay. A neighbours old tree is threatening to fall on my house. If not the surf, then the tree... The little kids are upstate and we're leaving for the Poconoes tonight as well. The winds there are expected to be 30- 50 miles an hour as well. I'm really scared, and my big men are totally nonchalant about it, I had to yell at them to take the lawn furniture inside the house.
We've had a twister, an earthquake and a hurricane, what's next, a volcanic eruption?
