... no distance that could hold us back.

Today I remembered writing this entry (*), and I took another look at my New Year's resolutions. Here is what I've done so far this year:
[x] attend more crazy concerts, but...
[  ] save money at the same time
[x] be more forward
[x] participate more in Alpha Phi Omega
[x] keep in closer contact with my brother, my father, and my grandmother
[x] get an article in The Diamondback
[  ] get a different summer job... hopefully an internship

Saw two great concerts in less than a week. Fall Out Boy was simply amazing, and everyone was just so content because they were that amazing. I loved seeing everyone (as if Katherine and Laura couldn't tell from the way I tackled them!) and singing along with Angela, Jimmy, L, and company. Hah, I didn't want it to end, especially while I was hoping an acoustic guitar would be busted out and "My Heart is the Worst Kind of Weapon" would be played. I know I'm not realistic... still, a great night. Can't forget the guessing game that the Joseph kid started.
JOSEPH: I WIN! ("NO YOU DIDN'T!", said others.)
ME: What did you win? PRIDE?!
   JOSEPH: YES. PRIDE.

Last night too, I went to the 9:30 Club with my fellow Radioactive Girl band members (meaning Angela and Linzee), Brandon and L (even though we threatened to leave him at the station, hah). Hellogoodbye was so great to watch, with their crazy toy microphones, banjo, and water-guns. I can't wait to play their full-length as I'm driving all over the place this summer. I got more than I expected from Armor for Sleep, and then the All-American Rejects were just... great. The lead singer (Tyson, right?) was basically whining and yelling "FUCK!" after every other word, but as soon as the boy had to sing, he was right on. Half the time though, I kept wondering if L fell in the toilet, but really I didn't have to worry... he found other cool kids and then met the drummer and "4REST" of Hellogoodbye (!).
Next Saturday, Angela and I head to WHFStival, right after our colloquium final. An extra ticket is up for grabs. Does anyone want to go?

I really, really didn't mean for this to be just a show update, hah. Actually, I was thinking of my New Year's resolutions because next Friday, I have an interview with co-exec editors of Minority Wealth Magazine, to discuss a summer internship. One of the editors, Kizzie, told me that a summer intern will work ten to fifteen hours a week at the office, from June 6 to approximately the second week of August. I was not expecting the internship to take up that much of the summer, but I am still beyond hopeful that this will all work out.

Wish me luck.

Oh, by the way... I'm the frat's treasurer for next semester. Whoa.
