I'm in one of those "Everything is so fucking beautiful" hazes.
Birthday celebrations were fantastic.
-Thursday I went to my favorite bar in Sacramento "The Golden Bear" (Look for it on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives sometime soon!) to eat the most amazing salad and fried green tomato sandwich, with my gorgeous roommates. Blue Moon, smokes, and laughing. We even went next door to the bakery to get slices of cake before our walk home. I love those girls, and they have made my summer in Sacramento the best summer ever. Especially getting to re-known Erin and not just have stories that others have told us about each other. We are on a constant "I LOVE YOU SOOO MUCH!" level it's almost disgusting. :) I can't wait to help Jenn get her new home ready on Wed. So proud of her for getting her house.
-Friday I had El Azteca (of course) for dinner with my family, and a few beers and snacks with my mom, brother, and his friends. At times I feel quite old around all these young kids, but they are such amazingly sweet and funny people.
-Saturday I drove out to Oakland and went to The KingFish. My all time favorite bar ever. Colin and I had Ethiopian food, and he bought me my very own womans KingFish t-shirt (it's like, super soft, slim fit, v neck. Like a really nice tshirt!) And we all got a table and drank into the night. Many, many, many tall boys of PBR were had, and singing/interpretive dancing and pictures. My heart is in Oakland.
-Sunday was home made breakfast and football, before going over to Marco's to have snacks and beers on his couch, and rewatching Season 1 of Dexter (I hadn't watched all of it the first time) Since our normal night is Tuesday, we got to sit and plan out what we want to do this Tuesday in case our Netflix discs don't arrive in time. That boy can make me laugh so hard it's stupid.
All I'm missing is my Bestie. Who was sick Thursday and in turn couldn't come up to Sac to come out with us. I'm so proud of what he's doing with his life right now. Fuck yes, Go BEN!
I woke up with a smile, and plan to have it all week. I'm just so full of creativity/inspiration/love that it's boiling over.
