(no subject)
i had a decent weekend, considering how sucky the weather was. on saturday night we went with luke's friend to dinner, to this sushi place we went to once before. i tried this 'sweet egg' sushi. it was, i think, thick slices of sweet omlette on sushi rice. i got regular vegetable sushi also. and sake. after that we played pool. i love it even though i really suck at it. on sunday i was drowsy, zonked. i guess from drinking two nights in a row.
yesterday we bought a tent. it's a little bigger than the one we have in australia, and better quality i think. we're going to go camping when the weather is good enough.
i still haven't got to the post office. i have two really late presents to send. luke has been working and hasn't been able to take me, and i would feel rude asking his family to. ack. maybe there are buses that go downtown.
a story from a couple weeks ago-
we saw these three baby geese in the middle of the road, two were dead but the other one was just standing there, in the middle of this busy road, so we got out and when we walked back there he was on the side of the road wandering around, we couldn't see his mother anywhere. so we took him home, and luke's mum told us there was a pond further up the street and maybe his mother would be there. so we drove there, and there were a few geese there, and two of them had some baby geese, so we let ours free, and he quacked and they quacked and he ran up to them, and it was so sweet to see them reunited. i was worried they might reject him because my smell was on him or something. but i guess not.
