In the midst of everything that's been going on re: the whole
inklane issue, I thought I'd go ahead and make a "master post" of sorts to keep everything compiled in. So far this is what I have and anything new will be added to this post, which will definitely be marked public so that anyone who wants to comment with something I've missed or add

I'm a Chloe/Chloiser and I have tons of Lois fans on my flist, and when I find out they like Lois all I say is "cool." I even go out of my way to try and not bash Lois or talk about Chlois very much. I'm not asking people to extend the same courtesy, but the harrassment really needs to stop, from both sides obviously.
Re: shelly... You know, I'm sure there are people on her side, even with all the evidence. I'm sure a lot of her friends will just write it off as the EVIL AND TROLLING CHLOE FANS as trying to harrass her and bully the innocent, 16-year old lamb. Whatever. I'd rather be loud and proud and defend myself and have other people see me as mean than to talk behind people's backs and then cowardly run away and be seen as a "victim." You're doing the right thing. :)

Yeah, the more I got to digging around last night, the more I started to uncover. I'm not going to mention any names of the people this has happened to, because they've since flocked their journals and created new ones to get away from the insanity and the trollish behavior, but it just made me sick when I saw that they were turning it inwards on their own camp.
For real, I definitely agree with you. At the end of the day this is just a stupid television show that, where if you don't like what's happening on it - hey, feel free to turn it off. But, don't bash other people in the fandom, because they either like a character/ship you don't like, have a different theory or take on something you don't agree with, or heaven forbid they happen to enjoy the fact that your character got smacked down. So what, everyone's allowed to have their own opinions. Resorting to this chilish backstabb-y behavior is just really immature and it makes you like like an asshat.
*hugs* Thank you, bbs.
See, that's the way that I am, for the most part of time. I can't say that's how I've always been re: some fandoms and instances, but for the most part that's how I try to be. Fandom is brutal enough, without peopel turning on each other like this. I don't mind having Chlark/Chloe/Chlois theorists as fans, because I can see the good points that the Chlois theorists have and at one point waaaaay far yonder back in the beginning of the series, I actually sort of bought into it myself for a little while. So, while I may disagree now, that doesn't discredit them or their opinion in any way at all.
There probably are people out there on her side, who have her back like whoa with all of the ammunition that they could possibly need or have at their disposal. But, it doesn't make them right, at the end of the day. There's not a doubt in my midn that I'm doing the right thing and I'll keep on doing it, for as long as I need to. That's just how I see it. ;)

Yeah I'm the same, I wouldn't even use my Chlois icon in a Cloiser's LJ because of basic respect, and I've always warned in my entires if I'm going to rant on any of the characters. But people will make assumptions about the kind of person you are just because of the characters or the ship that you support. It's very discouraging

And yeah my rule has always been to keep it about the show, not the fans, but fandom is so fractured these days that it becomes harder and harder to not get dragged into it all.

That's a good rule to have that a lot of people could benefit from, instead of acting like raving lunatics and ruining fandom for everyone else.
That's sad, but so very true with this fandom. /sigh. Why can't we just have a "friendship of legends" people?! lol.
