Litheran here; or Spuffy deluxe as the ladies call me....yeah they don't actually call me that. Saw the Clois art and thought I'd say howdy. It would appear your geek points are almost as high as mine.

It is true, I am a geek. Clark and Lois, in any medium or universe, will always be one of my favorite love stories ever told. High up there with Spike and Buffy. lol. Nice that you found me, though. :)

Yeah, I went straight from watching Lois & Clark with Teri Hatcher to watching Buffy when it came on; so I only had to wait a few years for my epic love story fix. In the last two seasons Erica Durance has slowly moved up the ladder to be my favorite interpretation of the character.

I lived and breathed LnC: TNAOS when it was on and watched Buffy as if it were a religion not to be messed with. lmfao. Sometimes I wonder what this all says about me?! That I hung around a decade for some show called Smallville to end and really enjoyed it for the most part, save for the crappy way that fandom can kinda be and the blunders that it's had in the later half of the series. lol.

But, I digress...in getting back to what you were saying, it took me a while to come around to Erica's Lois, but oncce I did I feel head over feet in love with her and I think that she's definitely high at the top of my list as favorite interpretations of Lois.

Of course, in my re-watch of LnC: TNAOS (of which I'm currently in the middle of S3 much closer to the end of it actually) it's re-awakened my love for Teri's version of Lois as well. Though I can't say between Dean and Tom, which Clark I perfer. I think I love them both for very different reasons and for who they are when they're with their version of Lois. :)

I know what you're saying about the fandom; Buffy fans come off looking good when compared to a lot of Smallville watchers. There always ready to nitpick anything that doesn't follow the comic religiously. This latter half has had problems; it's expected with people leaving the show too early (Lex) and some sticking around too long (Lana, IMO)

Hopefully someday Conner Kent (Superboy) will get his own show. I love his character almost as much as I do Clark.

I thought the Buffy fandom was pretty tame when compared to the Roswellian's, HP, and Smallville. I don't mind so much a few little changes from the mytho's, but I have a problem with throwing everything about the mytho's out because people feel like Smallville is its own show ( ... )

Don't get me started on Roswell; the things I've heard fellow fans about that show say would make Satan blush.

Yeah, I know what you mean about the mythos being altered. I think the restrictions they put on themselves about Clark not flying and the glasses; stuff like that definitely killed some of the magic. But the concept that Lois is there to help him become Superman; as opposed to meeting him after was IMO a brilliant change.

I'm usually careful to discuss Chloe because her fans are sometimes a little sycophantic; portraying her as a saint like you said.

Kara works well but I hated that they had her step out into the public before Clark; that goes against the history in a big way.

I'm excited that Lionel is back for this final season; hopefully Michael Rosenbaum will get several episodes to bring Lex back in style.

The Roswell fandom was just insane, almost as insane as the HP fandom. True this ( ... )
