Snow

Let's discuss my favorite topic; the weather. It never used to be a great concern of mine, that is, until I moved to Canada. If I have to leave the house, it means a 10-15 minute walk to the bus stop, and at this weather, I will also have to trudge through mountains of unshoveled sidewalk snow, and most likely a slippery layer of ice beneath it, only waiting to trip me and, as a result, break my neck. In fact, that is my second greatest fear. I just made an Arrested Development reference, yet I know only one person will get it. Also, as I go on with the weather, I must say that I am not looking forward to waiting for the bus tomorrow 30 minutes prior to my usual leave time, due to road conditions that buses are apparently unequipped to handle. What I also dislike about these conditions is all the mud and wetness people bring inside with them, be it the bus, the station, or, most irritatingly, my store.
I have many pet peeves, and most of them can actually be considered crimes against humanity, like hitting on girls on public transportation without AT LEAST brushing your teeth... But I'll let that one go... So anyway, when people walk into the store with wet boots on, walk around EVERY SINGLE SECTION, and the carpet, then, not buy anything, and leave all that mess to me, naturally, all I want to do is shove a mop in their face, but I remain calm and tell them to have a nice day. Then I hope they bring that mess home with them. With rain, the mess is drastically smaller in quantity. With snow, you have that period between when you get into the mall from the street, until you walk around enough so the snow melts from between every crack at the bottom of your boot, presuming that you were not enough of a good person to wipe those boots at the entrance. Thankfully, most people are, and those people make good customers.

And speaking of customers, here's a useful tidbit of information I acquired during the Windex Incident. If you spill half a bottle of Windex and try to mop it, it will soap up and require about 4 times the water you predicted you will need to mop up the mess. Yes, thank you customer "Fairy Lady" (not a nickname I invented, she did), my life and pursuit of ultimate knowledge is now complete.

Ok, now I will not get into talking about Middle-Eastern politics, mainly because it makes me mad, but also because sadly, the very biased North-American media provides hardly enough information about the situation. But I would like to say that I hope my friends who are serving right now are safe during this conflict and that it ends soon enough without more innocent people being killed or injured.

Now I'm really not in the mood any more.
