Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind for sure. we watched it in psych class in grade 12 & i just really liked it. not your typical love story, but it's a love story nonetheless. i've seen it on alot of ppl's favorite movies list, so i think it's the kind of movie that appeals to both guys & girls. it's kinda hard to wrap your head around at first, & i think the meaning of the movie remains open to interpretation. i always thought it was about Joel & Clementine being so fated to be together that they were destined to meet again, even after erasing each other from their memories. but i guess that's the small picture. i think this quote explains the big picture pretty well:
"...every relationship a person has is important. Therefore, forgetting it would mean that person is doomed to repeat it. The relationship is important to that person's personality and necessary in their life. That would make the message something like you should treasure all your relationships, even the bad ones, because they ultimately lead you to the one who will make you happiest."
i guess the ultimate message is that everybody is in your life for a reason. :)
Clementine: This is it, Joel. It's going to be gone soon.
Joel: I know.
Clementine: What do we do?
Joel: Enjoy it.
