so i've been back in Vancouver for about 10 days. 10 days and 4 interviews later, i finally started my job today. i work at a boarding kennel for pet dogs/cats. basically owners who're on vacation or wtv leave their pets at the kennel, and we take care of them until they get back. as you can imagine, this is no office job. more like kennel job. hehe. so basically i have to clean the dog kennels, bathe/groom them if necessary, clean the cattery, and feed the cats. it's not bad la - at least i don't have to pick up poo like i thought i would have to. :D it's still all physical though, but everyone can use a mop, right? the dogs are kute, of course. :D although a few of them are rather big and scary. O_o the only downside is that the job starts at 7am, which means i have to get up at 5+am. -_______- plus transportation is not very convenient also. the kennel is literally in the middle of nowhere, and the nearest bus stop is at the edge of a busy road with tons of heavy vehicles. ie. i eat dust while waiting forever for the bus. anyway, since i only work 4 hours a day around 4 days a week, i'm going to start looking for a second job that maybe starts in the afternoon. but complications may arise since i'm moving houses next week, to somewhere where transportation is even MORE inconvenient. srsly, buses suck around here.
now onto the real highlight of the day: HP5! :D so after work i took THREE buses to meet Tracy at the mall. yes, three (don't ask). haven't seen her for 2.5 months, which is pretty long by Queen's standards. so...yaye! good --> we went to eat at a HK cafe. bad --> we didn't have enough money to pay. -___- SIGH. the place didn't accept debit/credit so we were like, um. to make a long story short, we were a few cents short of $11.93 after pooling our moola together...and that's excluding tips. so basically, we didn't really pay the bill, much less give tips. i literally dumped all the money out of my wallet and left. XD um, let's hope they don't rmb that i registered under "Sze-to" and recognize me next time.
yah, we are retards. now onto happier things...le movie! i like HP movies like 100% of the time, so er...i liked this one too. >< well maybe less cos there wasn't as much sexual tension between Ron/Hermione. HAHAHA. what can i say, i'm a R/H shipper all the way. i could NOT stand it when Harry and Cho kissed, and i really don't understand why they had to show the kiss from every possible angle. srsly...WHY!?! -___- i hate Cho sooooooo much. Luna was lovely though - perfect girl for the role. the movie was a bit rushed, and they left out tons of parts as usual. yeah. to quote Carmen, Harry was "a bag of hormones." LOL! no kidding..."i just feel ANGRY all the time!!!!!!1111ONEONEONE" way to go, Harry. all the characters who weren't in Dumbledore's Army made more or less guest appearances. -.- i don't like the new Dumbledore either. but anyhow, the movie is a must-see for all anyone remotely interested in HP. yeah, i state the obvious. here's to sidekickerlicious love (ie. Ron/Hermione) in future movies (and the book!). ♥
edit// i just realized - you can't spell heRmiONe without Ron. coincidence? ;)
i am so utterly tired from being out since 7am this morning. next work day is Tuesday, so i guess i'll be spending the weekend packing for moving day on Wednesday. BOOOOOOO. i like my new room though, and my new house as well, save its inaccessibility to buses. -.- nvm, i shall go crack down the bus system and find some stupid bus routes.
on other note, i am 100% AMAZED at how i got my highest grade in uni so far in a course i really, really didn't enjoy that much. -___- not to mention i had no time to study for the final (or that i gave up a little, rather). oh wells. weird! but good. :)
