update on internship@Vogue:
"That type of translation is renowned for being tedious and difficult. I am impressed that they assigned the task to you. That was an important job because the translation will become Vogue's record(forever) on what was published that month on Taiwan."
*gasps* we did actually did something important at work. probably really crappily, but still. not bad, i thought we're just doing all the leftover work that no one wants to do. which makes sense, cos no one in the right mind would want to translate pages of chinese into english. translation is the shit! or rather, my chinese is the shit. -.- anyway, that was one productive thing that we did. 6 (well, 5. we didn't even have to show up on Friday.) days of work now, and we were only productive for 3. sighh. today we sent out magazines to the companies which provided pictures. or something like that la. too much tape gave me a headache. the smell.
B pulled her tendon playing softball yesterday, so my mentor is officially handicapped. haha. it was funny in a kind of sad way. i'm so sadistic.XD but hope she gets better soon.:) she's 28! or around there la. hmm i totally couldn't tell. but what do i know. i actually like my job, although i always complain that it's boring. it could be worse. like we could have to read this huge textbook and have tests everyday or something (how is that even an internship?!). sooo, it's not bad la.:) although the office is totally unglam. i mean it's VOGUE right?! and you get to the office and it's like...grey everywhere. -.- Lucy and i have our own corner where all the old mags are. mostly we sit there collecting dust when there's nothing to do. oh wells.
