Haven't had much time to myself, haven't had much time home. Have spent a lot of time behind the camera. Friday: Pomona, Saturday: Ojai, Sunday: Topanga, Monday: School, Tuesday: Anahiem, Wednesday: School, Thursday: Downtown LA. Thank goodness gas prices have fallen so dramatically.
I got my new macbook. I love it. I am now part of the mac nerd elite. Up yours PC.
I got back most of my midterms, all A's and B's. On my political science mid term I got the highest test score out of all the classes. Watching too much MSNBC is finally paying off. My final is on the civil liberties of gay marriage. I got this.
Speaking of gay marriage, as most of you know California passed prop 8 which amends the state constitution to limit marriage between man & woman. It passed because many special interest religious groups donated towards the yes on 8 campaign and falsely campaigned that it was "freedom of religion" Uhhh since when is taking away civil rights because of a religious belief "freedom of religion"? The fact that this was even on the ballot is an embarassment in itself. If any of you are a proponent and this offends you, I'm sorry. Actually no i'm not. It really irritates me when people say its alright if they voted in favor of it because it is their belief. That's great, I full heartedly believe you can believe whatever you want. But don't involve it in politics, and especially don't take rights away from me, your children, and every Californian because of it. What it comes down to is this, you think you should be able to marry the one you love but my friends that are in love with someone of the same gender can't. Even though they don't love them any more or any less, they can't have what you have. This is called inequality, this is called discrimination, and this does not belong in our government.
Me and Natalie decide to attend the "march for equality" in downtown Ventura Saturday. It was absolutely amazing how many people showed up. There was probably about 600.
alright, on a lighter note I did a Rockett shoot on tuesday with a San Diego band called Lower Definition.
It was probably one of those "you have to be there" moments, but we were laughing so hard while shooting this. They were getting soooo into it.
On thursday I got to see my lovely lady friend Courtney. She was here with her boys 3oh!3 who opened for Taking Back Sunday at this new venue in downtown LA called club nokia. There were shots of patron, drunken sing-a-longs, and some pretty crazy dance offs. Only thing missing was Dylan! Where you at!?
Courtney!
