Following in the vein of me doing stupid things today, I spent the evening at Middlemore under care of the hand surgeons, after managing to stab myself with a kitchen knife while trying to get a stubborn stone out of an avocado. Tomorrow I go in for surgery, since my hands are my livelihood, and they think I may have damaged at least one of the nerves, but hopefully none of the tendons.

Damn you avocado! Damn your creamy green flesh!
