it's been so long since you've heard from me

friday: after a long day of work, Frances, Michael and i went to the Dance Cave!!! we shook our booties to tunes from Death from Above 1979, Le Tigre, Jamiroquai, Yeah Yeah Yeahs...
saturday: the Old Clothing Show!!! oh wait, they no longer call it that...it's now the Clothing Show--how lame, vintage is the way to go, but i support the talented local artists/crafters. i bought so much stuff... eek! this also means that will be doing alot of altering and crafting to make things my own. weeeeeeeeeeeeeeee...!
sunday: um... oh yeah that was yesterday! after work, i decided at the last minute that i would go see the doves
it was dark out when i got out from Union station, also known to some of us as Onion station (haha). my destination was the Kool Haus. the show was sold out when i got to the line up. so i went hunting for scalpers as if i surrendered as their prey. i only paid 30$ for the ticket and i caught the last couple of songs from Mercury Rev. i was impressed, but i HATE this venue. someone near me stank like either hairspray or some other type of nasty scent that could have been bought in the "Family Planning" aisle at a grocery store. my wish was to join MJ... and i must have walked around and through the entire place until i tagged down Frances who was talking to a lady friend. i was so relieved because i was tired and feeling discouraged. i realized that i came to the show for all the wrong reasons. MJ peeked through the two ladies when he got back and told me that he went just went to go call me. Frances told me he went to go get water. So now i stayed put for the rest of the night. my feet and my knees were sore and they felt week. i took off my shoes and stood on my pantyhose. i also HATE pantyhose. i ended up falling asleep throughout half of the show -- more like i was napping -- with MJ as my sleeping post. i was also attracted to the hair and shoulder of the lady in front of me. at some point i couldn't resist and i rested on her for a second. it was good... the Doves are fantastic! i don't think i enjoyed the show too much though. there are at least 10 reasons in the description above, if you count. nonetheless, i got my wish, i found MJ.
in other news, i bought the 1st season of the Fresh Prince of Bel-air... i don't watch TV, but now i can watch one of my favourite shows -- commercial free!!!
and yaaay! da-wreck is not dead... he brightened my inbox!
