I'll give Sam credit for one thing. He was really specific about what he didn't want happening as far as the time travelling thing. 'Under no circumstances' and 'I don't give a damn if' and 'I swear Arianna, if you ever try' and stuff like that was used a lot. He said the same things to Madsen, except I'm pretty sure he was nicer about it.
Maybe it's because Sam sort of knew I'd be thinking about it, and Madsen wouldn't. He gets confused with this sort of thing, I doubt he really wants to bother.
So it's just me who's currently thinking about going somewhere. But it's not like I'm going to stay, I'm just going to bring something back. Somethings, if I have a say in it. It depends on how it goes.
It is a little dangerous. And I could get shot. But I figure it wouldn't happen if I'm careful. And I'm going to be careful. So there's nothing to worry about. And I'm not really staying there for a long time. I'm just going, seeing if I can bring certain people back, and then as soon as I've had my fun they'll go right back again.
So really, it's not like I'm messing with anything. They'll be back before they're missed. I just really really want to see what they're like. I mean, I've read the book, and I know the stories, and I think this is my only way to find out. It's educational. Sam and Carly should be happy I'm taking an interest in learning something.
There. See? It's perfectly fine. There's no reason why I shouldn't do this. Sam can't yell at me that much. So I'm going to do it.

I worked out the spell, figuring it should be fine to do on your own if you know how. When the portal opened up, I stopped. Alright Arianna, you can do this. Just go through. It'll be fine.
I took a deep breath. "Here goes nothing." And I walked through.
The first thing that I noticed was I was standing in a valley.
The second thing I noticed... was that there was a gun in my face.
"... Hello."
