London, Morning Rush hour, 2005

LONDON - Four blasts rocked the London subway and tore open a packed double-decker bus during the morning rush hour Thursday, sending bloodied victims fleeing in the worst attack on London since World War II. At least 40 people were killed, U.S. officials said, and more than 390 wounded in the terror attacks. A clearly shaken Prime Minister Tony Blair called the attacks "barbaric" and said they were designed to coincide with the G-8 summit opening in Gleneagles, Scotland.

I went into the living room, and the Today show was on. So the first thing I saw when I woke up this morning was an EMT giving someone CPR, all bruised and blackened with bandages all over their head. So, naturally, emotional person that I am, I started crying. It's awful. Some correspondent guy was saying that they're not just targeting America-they're targeting the entire Western lifestyle. What happens in London? Really, I mean, the police don't even carry guns. And to see that happen...there aren't words.

Although it was brilliant to see Tony Blair speak. He was pissed. You could see it. If there was ever a man to rival the idiocrity of George Bush, it might be him. But he was freaking. You could tell. He said something like, "This was not an attack on the nation. This was an attack on the world." He was speaking through gritted teeth. And Bushface was in the background looking unaffected as usual. Ugh, I hate that man.

"They have such evil in their heart that they will take the lives of innocent folks. The war on terrorism is on," said Bush. Excuse my cynicism, but wasn't it already on?

So, that's my ranting on the subject for now. Until there's more information about it. Jay thinks it was the IRA. But Jay's Irish, so that's always his first thought. As stuff comes out, I am sure I will be increasingly upset about it. Now we wait for the tape from Osama. Bastard.

Alrighty, well, I am off to freak out to whomever will listen and to go get patches for a couple of pairs of jeans that need to be repaired.

Quote of the Day
"We are united in our resolve to confront and defeat this terrorism. This is not an attack on one nation, but on all nations and on civilized people everywhere." -Tony Blair on behalf of the G8.
