You, my friend, are an idiot. I'm sorry, but you handled that really badly. Take it from someone who has gotten pulled over in a car 3 times, pulled over walking 3 times, and yes- I too have been unfairly pulled from a car, thrown against a hood and searched. And I'm female (that does make it worse.) I have been belittled and talked down to by cops. But I have never gotten a ticket- and most likely wont for a long time. You just have to learn to deal and let it go. Not all cops are bad. They have a really shitty job. And I don't know how you expect them to treat you with respect when you treat them like shit.
Your first two paragraphs are complete contradictions. Not all colleges are like that. Talk to people at other schools- a lot of them are VERY challenged in class and have met people who are fascinating and smart and open minded. I have met people here who have COMPLETELY opened my eyes and mind to new things and new views. And I love that. I really don't see how Denmark is going to be more open minded then most college campuses. The schools I am applying to-- the main reason I love them is when I went to visit the people were so smart and so active and just had this fire and passion- and the schools encourage that and help you to find that in yourself. Whatever. This was pointless and you will most likely jump all over me for it. But there it is.
I didnt get a ticket BECAUSE i was in the right. There was absolutely no probable cause and that all of the things listed are complete rapes of our civil rights, i guess they dont matter much to you though.
and there is no 'more open-mindedness' about denmark/germany/where ever i decide. There is, however, opportunity to gain a new perspective on life, culture, language, etc.
anyways, your statement wasnt pointless (well, the first paragraph wasn't very philosophically minded) but i agree, another school would probably do me better, but i dont feel that i'm ready for that or any school at this point. i want a break. nay, need a break.
