happy new year everyone. i'm back in portsmouth now starting my revision for my exams at the end of the month and trying to write an evil essay.
for all the music lovers and musicians out there i have some really bad news for you. the mpa [music publishers' association] have closed down a load of tablature and lyric sites due to copyright infringement. this means that if you want guitar music for a song you have to work it out yourself =( if anyone out there has a talent for writing you should draft out a letter to be e-mailed to the mpa that details how many artists don't have published sheet music and so online tabs don't detract from musicians' and record labels' profits. and how most tabs are not wholly accurate but only the authors interpretation of the song in question and therefor should not be liable to copyright laws. please don't insult/attack the mpa as that won't help at all but if enough musicians put there point forward reasonably we might get somewhere.
