Just give me this moment, The one that has gone by much too fast. Let me hold it close to my heart once more, Before it becomes part of the past.
Just give me this moment, The time that we all shared a laugh. Our side-splitting laughter at the silliest things, Was always a part of every class.
Just give me this moment, The one that made us so sad. Our tears all ran together that day, And our support of each other made things not so bad.
Just give me this moment, The time that we found out the truth. Sometimes what we don’t see is really right in front of us, They hit us like a brick, and hurt the most in our youth.
Just give me this moment, The one that introduced new friends. Strange situations make for great ice breakers, And funny conversations make it easy to blend.
Just give me this moment, The time that we won the competition. Teamwork, dedication and love of the game, Helped us to achieve our biggest celebration.
Just give me this moment, This one will be the last. These four years of our lives have been just that-- A moment in time; a closing chapter; our past.
