lol well... this post sort of encapsulates most of the things I thought were bad about it. I thought virtually everything was bad. The plot was bad. The time jumps were bad -- why would I care about a character who spends literally hundreds of years off screen? The characters' behaviours were bad. Most of the writing was bad. Clara was underused and given very little to do besides cry. Once again we had a character (Tasha Lem) thrown in as an "old friend" without us ever seeing how or why she knew the Doctor. The sexual stuff and nudity was inappropriate and creepy. All the dozens of bits that don't make sense (the villains working together, the town that doesn't progress or change at all in like 400 years, the Doctor aging suddenly now when he never has before, the truth field that is constantly foiled, the crack plotline, etc).
The only scene I thought was okay was that last scene in the TARDIS where he gives his little speech and hallucinates Amy and then regenerates. I thought that was nice. But it was much too little too late to wring any emotion out of me.
I would expect someone who watches the show casually to have a very different relationship with and expectations for the show vs someone who is very invested and has seen every episode multiple times etc. And that's fine. But uh yeah, it was pretty much all bad from where I'm standing.
