First off, thanks everyone for your nice comments on my last post. Things are getting better, ish. My mom sounds more like herself although I suspect she's mostly been trying not to think about it, which is the same tactic I've been using.

Awesomesauce! The only ways I'll continue to support the show is if Tate becomes a permanent cast member and/or Dwight and Angela hook up for real.

Yeah I'm totally only watching for her. I'm sort of really hoping they don't bring her on as a regular for the next season because I don't want her tied to this sinking ship. It's neat to see her on American TV and on one of my (old) shows buuuuuuuut I don't need it to be a permanent thing with the way the writing has been in the last while.

The sinking ship is defnitely true. The shitty writing will drag her down if she's more than a guest star/random reoccurring character.

Yeah and I mean the writing for her last guest spot wasn't exactly amazing. IDK I am excited for her to be a guest star but I don't want all my North American friends to just know her as "that lady who was on The Office once it started to suck" lol.

Agreed. I would hate for the non Whovians in America to get a negative opinion of her just because of the writers doing stupid things.

I actually follow a person on Tumblr who went to MAAN just because she's a huge Office stan and had seen Catherine Tate's cameo, and then she fell so in love with David Tennant and Catherine Tate in MAAN that she went back and watched s4 of Doctor Who and now she's a huge Doctor Who fan. LOLWUT.

She went to the stage door and everything JUST FOR THE WOMAN WHO GUESTED ON THE OFFICE FOR TWO MINUTES. I guess she really liked Nellie Bertrum. I saw someone else on ONTD once talk about how they thought Nellie was so funny they ended up looking up the Catherine Tate Show, so that's nice too. But I suspect those stories will be in the minority.
