new drabbles & one one-shot
So partially in thanks to nest_of_spiders and partially just through, um, my miraculous brain (pft), Puzzle Pieces has three new not-quite-drabbles-not-quite-oneshots tagged on to it.
First, a oneshot:
Title: Delayed Reaction
Rating: PG for massive angst
Prompt: "Numbing the pain for a while will make it worse when you finally feel it." - Dumbledore in GOF (If I were Chris I'm sure I could give you the chapter number too.)
Excerpt: He finds James' body first, and grief begins to work its way to the outermost edges of his consciousness, but he shoves it away valiantly. Any emotion is better than the unbearable impending heartbreak, and so he throws himself into anger and hatred instead.
Summary: Sirius represses his grief over the Potters for a very, very long time.
Dude my iPod just went from a very solemn Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again to a blasting (Phantom's music is quiet) Stayin' Alive by the BeeGees. The dangers of shuffle. *snort* Awesome.
