(no subject)
Quick note... I have decided to take "file sharing" off of my Instant Messenger...
...the reason? It's two-fold. First off, I work for some of the bands whose files are among the several gigs that were available for download. Call me Metallica, but I would rather have people buy the CD than rip it off of me for free.
Secondly, a lot of the stuff I get is advance, which means that if I share it with even one person, the chances of it ending up on Limewire or something are huge. I have one CD on my computer now that doesn't even come out until the middle of July, so if that was put online, their record would probably not sell nearly as well because it has been readily available online for three months.
Wow, that statement made me sound really really lame. I'm sorry. I think I'm growing up. e-gad.
