Not quite a worshipper...

A tall, armor-clad figure steps quietly into Djehuty's temple. He came here almost directly from the Nexus, only stopping in his home universe to pick up a large metal-bound book with biometal pages. A chain attached to the book allows it to be slung over Mewtwo's shoulder almost like a backpack.

"I seek the one known as Djehuty, I must speak with

"I prefer to remain standing, though I thank you for the offer," he says, despite the urging of his all-too biological body. "This Khonshu hails from a world where an alternate of yourself supplanted, forcefully I think, his position as deity of the moon. He has since attacked, and nearly destroyed, myself and indirectly endangered the lives of those I care for. These alternates are not deities, as you yourself seem to be, but the Djehuty- or Thoth as my records name him- seems to be a renegade Chozo. Of Khonshu's nature, I know little. I believe he sought to strike at the Chozo through associations of mine. In the initial struggle, my powers were drained from me. I thought Khonshu dead, only to find he still lived and has since fled to the Nexus to gather his power. I do not ask for my battles to be fought for me, only knowledge or weapons to use against Khonshu when I once again face him."

Mewtwo remaines relatively impassive during his speech, his habit of calling up psychic projections to aid his points was still there, even if his powers are not. His tail, however, twitches like as cat's as he speaks.

Djehuty listens carefully, expressionless. "Interesting. I am sorry that you have been troubled with this, that any alternates of my pantheon should attack you. But--huuu." He clicks his beak once or twice, thinking. "I will not give you weapons to fight an alternate of Khonsu. The Thebans considered us related; and we share a providence. The one you have met sounds quite unlike mine, but still, I will not lift a hand against him for the sake of a stranger. My apologies. Knowledge I can share, but...your Khonshu, not a deity, sounds so unlike mine that I cannot vouch for the usefulness of any books I give you."

Speaking of books, he looks down at the one in his hand, and strokes the cover regretfully before handing it back with a bow. "I would not feel right keeping this, not having helped you."

Mewtw nods. "I understand, thank you," he says, taking the book back. "I do not resent your withholding of information, the grounds of which I can identify with. You have, however, told me something; that I concern myself with documents concerning his supposed divinity less than others. I believe I should like to meet your Khonshu if possible once this ordeal is over." He bows stiffly, the motion unfamiliar. "Thank you, Lord of Divine Words, the Thrice Great. May our next meeting be under less pressing circumstances."

"You are most welcome; and I apologize for not helping. I...should like to meet my Khonsu as well. I have seen so few of my pantheon in so very long." The god sounds deeply melancholy, just for a moment.

He bows again. "I cannot quite wish you good luck, but I can at least hope for a peaceful solution?"

Mewtwo nods and puts his head and shoulder through the chain on the book. "Peace, of one form or another, will be soon to arrive. Of that I am certain. I must take my leave now, I have a multitude of issues that demand my attention," he says, activating the portal controls in his armor.
