Harper nodded, trying to look and act more mature than he was actually feeling. He made his way smoothly through the crowd, and asked a second year politely to move off a chair across from Theo.
Believe it or not, he was polite sounding, but the look in his eye had won the battle.
He gave a slightly amused smirk at the younger year's exit, and then addressed Harper. "I didn't mean to steal you from dinner. Hope you didn't rush," he commented, noticing only after the words had come out that he had nearly adopted his father's 'social' tone.
Wincing inwardly, he relaxed further into his seat and cleared his throat quietly.
"I actually wanted to talk to you about Potter," he started, getting to the point of the conversation. "I thought it was only right that you know more of what's going on if you're going to be a part of it."

Benjamin walked casually into the common room. He had noticed Theo had left the table earlier, so he made a slight haste in getting back.
